Contest Topics

Participants will engage with a series of thought-provoking topics across three stages:

Stage 1: Nation Building

• Topic: The Role of Citizens in Nation Building.
• Focus: Explore civic engagement, community service, and democratic participation in shaping Nigeria's future.

Stage 2: Innovative Learning

• Topic: "Breaking the Mold: 3 Days in Class, 2 Days in the Field".
• Focus: Discuss the value of hands-on learning, the limitations of traditional classrooms, and how we can rethink education for the 21st century. Key areas include:
  • The Value of Hands-on Learning
  • The Limitations of Traditional Classroom Settings
  • Rethinking the Future of Education
  • The Power of Practical Skills

Final Stage: Impromptu Speech

Participants will choose one of the following topics for an on-the-spot speech:

1. "If I Were the President of Nigeria..."
2. "Promoting Cross-Cultural Understanding and Tolerance"
3. "The Importance of Youth Inclusion in Government"
4. "Honesty is the Best Policy"

Contest Rules

• Each participant will have 5 minutes per topic.
• Schools have the flexibility to use different students for each stage or have one student compete in all stages.
